Uninstalling CoolSpools V6
If you have CoolSpools V7 installed and are removing CoolSpools V6 , you should be aware that CoolSpools V6 and V7 share registered functions. Registered functions are used to manage user authorities to various CoolSpools features.
Before uninstalling CoolSpools V6 you should use COOLSPV6R1/SAVREGFNC to save them. After uninstalling use COOLSPV7R1/RSTREGFNC to restore them.
It is important that CoolSpools is not in use. Ensure that no users have CoolSpools V6 in their library list, spool monitors are ended, CoolSpools SMTP servers are ended. Use WRKOBJLCK OBJ(COOLSPV6R1) OBJTYPE(*LIB) to check.
To uninstall CoolSpools, please do one of the following:
A. If you have the command UNINSTALL in library COOLSPV6R1, use that to uninstall. This is a recent addition and you may not have it, depending on when you installed CoolSpools.
Alternatively, if UNINSTALL does not exist in library COOLSPV6R1...
1. Use CRTDUPOBJ to copy the following programs library from our product library COOLSPV6R1 into a library of your own:
DO NOT use DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(*ALL) to remove CoolSpools.
Remove each option individually, then use DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(*ALL) to remove the CoolSpools *Base option.
If you are not sure which CoolSpools options are installed, use GO LICPGM option 10.
Depending on which CoolSpools options you have installed, you should run:
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(1) - Spool Converter
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(2) - Email
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(3) - Spool Admin
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(4) - Database
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(5) - NetServer Toolkit
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(6COOLSP) OPTION(*ALL) - *BASE
Note: GO LICPGM option 12 can be used to Delete licensed programs.
2. If this fails with a message about missing exit programs. Copy the programs listed above back from your library into COOLSPV6R1 and run DLTLICPGM again.
If you are removing other CoolSpools version/s use the relevant product code in place of LICPGM(6COOLSP).
