This is a full working version of Communiqué. You can evaluate Communiqué free of charge for up to 30 days, but at the end of your 30-day trial period, you will need to enter a license key to continue using the software. If you need more time to evaluate Communiqué, email  sales@ariadnesoftware.co.uk and we will normally be happy to grant an extension to the trial period and will send you a temporary license key.

Communiqué Fix Packs

!!!Please read this important note before attempting to install Communiqué PTFs!!!

Before  you can install a Communiqué PTF, you must first install the Communiqué PTF exit program. This exit program will ensure that your Communiqué database files (including the contents of email address lists and logs) are  preserved and that the files are journaled.

If you attempt to install a Communique PTF without first installing the exit program, the APYPTF command will fail!

To install the Communiqué PTF exit program, download the zip file below and restore the single program CM_PTFEXTR from the save file it contains to your CMNQUEV1R1 library. This needs only be done once to allow you to install PTFS: you do not need to do this for every PTF you install.

If you are experiencing problems with corrupt attachments, this is almost certainly not a Communiqué issue, but rather a problem with your POP settings on your iSeries. See this note for details of how to correct this issue.

Corrupt attachments? Important note about POP settings!

Prior to OS/400 V5R3M0, IBM shipped the POP MSGSPLIT attribute with a default value which meant that the iSeries email servers split large email attachments across multiple messages. Although Communiqué was creating the attachments correctly, this setting often resulted in those email attachments becoming corrupted before they were delivered.

We recommend strongly that you set your MSGSPLIT level to *NOMAX to prevent this happening, e.g.:

                                                                CHGPOPA MSGSPLIT(*NOMAX)

If you are experiencing problems with large attachments getting corrupted, this is almost certainly the solution. It is not a bug in Communiqué and can be resolved very simply by running this one command.
